Eric Hamburg, President, founded Industrial Renaissance and has significant experience buying and building companies, improving/transforming companies, and working with management teams. He has acquired as a partner and lead investor 35+ businesses with aggregate revenues today exceeding US$1 Billion and has worked in operating/management roles with 30+ businesses in a wide variety of industries to successfully implement improved business practices and mission-critical initiatives. He was an early pioneer and practitioner in industry of just-in-time and lean manufacturing when it was introduced into the U.S. in the mid-1980’s, and buy-build strategies when they became popular in private equity in the mid-1990’s. Mr. Hamburg is a graduate of Cornell University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, with advanced studies in business and finance from its Graduate School of Management.
Rick Shuart, Managing Director and V.P. Finance, has successfully financed 100+ companies across a wide range of industries, capital structures, and complex transactions, and has deep relationships that span several decades with all the Tier-1 banks and their top management. He has a diverse range of financial experience with lenders and institutional investors and demonstrated ability in financial analysis and sourcing senior and junior capital to support operating objectives. Mr. Shuart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Columbia College at Columbia University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
Arthur Lane, Director and Legal Counsel, has successfully completed 200+ M&A transactions across a broad legal career spanning 35 years of experience as a corporate lawyer in the area of mergers, acquisitions, financings and small business investment companies. He has been a partner at prominent New York law firms including DeForest & Duer and Eaton & Van Winkle where he also ran their M&A practices. Mr. Lane received his undergraduate degree from Yale College, his law degree from Columbia Law School, and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
Gary Prushko, Controller and Finance Manager, has over twenty-five years of diversified accounting and financial experience in public and private manufacturing and service industries. His expertise lies in managing day-to-day operations, cost and inventory control, cash flow, and forecasting. Mr. Prushko has held managerial positions for subsidiaries of large domestic and international companies such as Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Group Inc., Kidde Inc., AEG/Daimler-Benz, and Thomson Newspapers Inc. Mr. Prushko has held Controller responsibilities for a private equity firm investing in global communications and utility industries, a private film machine manufacturer, and magazine distributor. He has helped companies organize revised systems and procedures to implement strategic plans, financial controls, and attain smooth running operations. Mr. Prushko holds a B.S. in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University
K. Paul Hainsworth, Operating Partner, is as an accomplished leader with a proven track record of delivering results in supply chain transformations and lean operations excellence initiatives. He has a diverse range of experience across the spectrum of manufacturing industries and has worked with 100+ companies over the last 30 years. He was an early pioneer in the introduction of lean manufacturing in the U.S. and has worked both in the consulting industry as well as in operating management in both manufacturing and service businesses. Mr. Hainsworth has been CEO and COO of manufacturing enterprises and is a co-founder of one of the U.S.’s leading lean manufacturing consulting and implementation firms. Mr. Hainsworth graduated from University in Cambridge England and has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Scott W. Andersen, Operating Partner, is an accomplished senior-level executive with U.S. and International leadership and P&L management expertise. During his career he has been the CEO and EVP of technology-based service companies where he established a proven track record of growth and profit improvement. Mr. Andersen is co-founder of a leading information technology and business process improvement consulting firm. Mr. Andersen graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering. He is certified (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and won the Deloitte New York 50 fastest Growing Companies for 2004 and 2005.
Rafael F. Bustos, Operating Partner, is a proven senior-level executive with U.S. and international leadership experience implementing information technology solutions, lean and flexible business process improvements to drive high performance organizations. He has worked in a variety of industries including consumer and industrial products, retail, wholesale and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Bustos has been the Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer of several leading international companies and is one of the co-founders of a leading information technology and business process improvement consulting firm. Mr. Bustos holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and is Certified (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
William J. McCabe, Senior Advisor, has worked with Industrial Renaissance principals since 1993 implementing complex operating and program management initiatives for portfolio companies. Mr. McCabe has held senior management positions at leading companies including General Electric, where he was project manager of the Polaris Fire Control Project and project manager of the Advanced B52 Bomb/Navigation System; General Motors where he was project manager for the Apollo Guidance and Navigation System (man on moon project); and U.S. Surgical Corporation, where he was a senior director in operations. Mr. McCabe graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and served as a submarine officer in the United States Navy.
