Eric Hamburg, President, founded Industrial Renaissance and has significant experience buying and building companies, improving, transforming companies, and working with management teams. As a partner and lead investor, he has acquired 35+ businesses with aggregate revenues today exceeding US$1 Billion and has worked in operating / management roles with 30+ businesses in a wide variety of industries to successfully implement improved business practices and mission-critical initiatives. Mr. Hamburg's expertise spans "buy and build" acquisition strategies, strategic business planning, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, profit improvement, business process reengineering, business startups, management information systems, supply chain management, business turnarounds, just-in-time manufacturing, and distribution / logistics. He was an early pioneer and practitioner in industry of just-in-time and lean manufacturing when it was introduced into the U.S. in the mid-1980's, and buy-build strategies when they became widespread in private equity in the mid-1990's. Prior to founding Industrial Renaissance, Mr. Hamburg was a partner at Kidd, Kamm & Company, a middle-market leveraged buyout firm. Before that, he was a senior executive at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he led the design and implementation of numerous business turnarounds and profit improvement initiatives across a wide variety of industries. Mr. Hamburg is a graduate of Cornell University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, with advanced studies in business and finance from its Graduate School of Management.

Rick Shuart, Managing Director, has successfully financed 100+ companies across a wide range of industries, capital structures, and complex transactions, and has deep relationships that span several decades with Tier-1 banks and their top management. He has a diverse range of financial experience with lenders and institutional investors and demonstrated superior ability in financial analysis and sourcing senior and junior capital to support operating objectives. Prior to joining Industrial Renaissance in 2001, Mr. Shuart was a senior Loan Production Office at the Summit Bank and originated cash flow and asset based loans from client base of New England private equity groups, merchant banks, financial intermediaries and financial institutions. Before that, Mr. Shuart was a principal at Lincolnshire Management, a middle market private equity firm, investing in a wide range of industries. Prior to Lincolnshire, Mr. Shuart has spent several years sourcing and structuring acquisitions and leveraged buy-outs for Strategic Investments and Holdings, a NY-based middle market private equity group. In the beginning of his career, Mr. Shuart spent 12 years with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in various senior roles, including venture capital investing, commercial lending, and corporate banking. Mr. Shuart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Columbia College at Columbia University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.

Arthur Lane, Arthur Lane, Director and Legal Counsel, has successfully completed 200+ M&A transactions across a broad legal career spanning 35 years of experience as a corporate lawyer in the area of mergers, acquisitions, financings and small business investment companies. He has been a partner at prominent New York law firms, including DeForest & Duer and Eaton & Van Winkle where he also ran their M&A practices. Mr. Lane received his undergraduate degree from Yale College, his law degree from Columbia Law School, and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.

Irena Schmidt, Vice President, has extensive experience advising middle market companies on strategic and financing options. Prior to joining Industrial Renaissance, Ms. Schmidt was a Vice President at Silverline Partners, a consumer-focused private equity fund. She was also a Vice President at SMH Capital, Retail and Consumer Growth Practice, specializing in corporate finance and transactional advisory services for middle market companies in the retail, apparel, consumer products and restaurant sectors. Ms. Schmidt's past clients include Cygne Designs, Blue Holdings, People's Liberation, Barmensen, I.C. Isaacs, Bare Escentuals, Ruby Tequila's Mexican Kitchen, The Counter Gourmet Burgers, Geoffrey Beene, Unitek, Portero, Levitz, and BCBG. Before joining SMH Capital in 2002, Ms. Schmidt was a member of the Global Technology Group at CSFB's Investment Banking Division, focusing on enterprise infrastructure, applications software and communications software markets. While there, she executed equity and debt offerings, raised private capital and structured merger and acquisition transactions for start-up, middle-market and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, Ms. Schmidt was at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, where she focused on the retail and consumer products industry. Ms. Schmidt graduated as a Regent Scholar with concentrations in international business, finance and accounting from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the UC Berkeley.

He was an early pioneer in the introduction of lean manufacturing in the U.S. and has worked both in the consulting industry as well as in operating management in both manufacturing and service businesses. Mr. Hainsworth has been CEO and COO of manufacturing enterprises and is a co-founder of one of the U.S.'s leading lean manufacturing consulting and implementation firms. Mr. Hainsworth graduated from University in Cambridge England and has a Bachelor's in Business Administration.
